Privacy Policy

Overview

Exif Lens is a photo metadata viewer and editor for iOS. It operates entirely on your device. We believe your photos are your private property, and we built this app with that principle at its core.

Data We Collect

None. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected
• No usage analytics or tracking
• No cookies or device identifiers
• No crash reports sent to us
• No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs

Photo Library Access

Exif Lens requires access to your photo library to display and edit EXIF metadata. All photo processing happens locally on your device. No images or metadata are uploaded to any server.

Location Access

The app may request location access solely to allow you to add GPS coordinates to your photos' metadata. We never record or store your location.

Two features send a location to Apple in order to work at all: searching for a place on the map sends what you type to Apple Maps, and showing a photo's location as an address sends that photo's coordinates to Apple's geocoding service. Both are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Neither sends your photos, and neither happens unless you use the feature.

Subscriptions

Exif Lens offers in-app subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

Third-Party Services

Exif Lens uses one third-party service: RevenueCat, which verifies your subscription status with Apple on our behalf. It receives an anonymous identifier and your subscription's state — never your name, your email, your payment details, your photos or any metadata from them. Payment itself is processed by Apple; we never see your payment information.

Beyond that and Apple's own services, nothing leaves your device. There are no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no other SDK of any kind.

Data Storage

All changes you make to photo metadata are written directly to your device's photo library using Apple's PhotoKit framework. No data is stored externally or in the cloud by our app.

Children's Privacy

Exif Lens does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Given our zero-collection approach, we do not anticipate significant changes.
